Welcome to my Inner World.
I am a French self-taught artist, and these past twenty years I have made Norway my home. Moving to the Lofoten islands was the greatest present I ever made to myself and the Arctic landscapes are indeed a true treat for any artist’s eyes. I live with my British soulmate, my sweet Papillon girls, Lucy and Pixie and the spirit of my border collie, Loki. My creativity is a tribute to the eyes that blink in the heart of every smallest thing, the flowing dreams whose pulse tries to reach to us in our most meditative state.

This new painting has been dragging on for a few months. I forced myself to finish it, I had lost the connection. This happens especially at summertime when I’m alienated by my full time job. But in one month, things will be a bit quieter (but not entirely), I’m so looking forward to it, to going back to unrestricted creativity and to being simply me without having to deal with people’s unrealistic, crazy and unfair expectations.
Another painting of the Blue Hour, my favourite time of the day. I missed the Blue Hour, all these months from April to August. Now it is coming back and with it, a few stars at midnight and of course the Northern Lights.
To prepare for this delightful return to normal life, I did quite a lot of work on my home, repainting furniture in a shabby chic style, weaving blankets, reorganising my impressive stash of yarns, painting with oils a fresco I will fix on a wall. I am now more than ready to turn my back on the very shallow and brainwashed people I have to smile to every day. I’ve been feeling drained for quite a while now.
This is a video I took one month ago. Now, autumn has come, my favourite season. There will surely be more photos and videos from now on.
Only 2 days until the end of the Midnight Sun! Although still one month before I can see the stars again. But the night is coming back!
Meanwhile, the sun is shining.
I encountered a little while ago a baby ermine. I didn’t have my camera, only my phone unfortunately. This little chap was joined by a brother (or a sister, I couldn’t tell) who leaned on him, it was so cute but I had to keep quiet about it, since the girls hadn’t noticed them. I watched them two full minuts, they were just about a meter away but the dogs never realised.
A few days ago, I saw a few meters away a snowy owl. She was hunting above the meadow and she turned her face towards me. Instant crush. I was smiling stupidly for the rest of the day. But unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture, since I was driving.
It’s been a while since I posted anything. I’ve been painting quite a lot with my new graphic tablet, I love being able to paint straight on a screen, it is very cosy. Summer seems to have arrived at last, although it was a bit too warm for Lucy today (we’re just not used to… 19 degres!).
Look at all this gorgeous greenery…
And 3 videos, today’s walks, morning and afternoon and in between a bit of delightful creative work:
I am high on all this greenery, these waves of green leaves swaying in the wind,…
