Moving to the Lofoten islands was the greatest present I ever made to myself and the Arctic landscapes are indeed a true treat for any artist’s eyes. Beads, Tiles and Dishes

I’m a bit disappointed with the underglazes. I think I like them only when they’re not covered with a transparent glaze. But I love my Opalescent glazes, madly. I’m just eager to create more pieces until I can use glazes and underglazes in the combination that feels right to me.

Some beads about which I’m very pleased:

Tree Lantern

As you can see, Lucy supervises everything That’s the only way I’m allowed to work.

I’m quite excited about a new lantern I’m working on. There’ll be glass beads hanging and stars hovering (attached to the tree with wires). And birds of course!

Tiny Loom

While still dreaming of a rigid heddle loom, I had a taste of weaving tonight with an improvised loom (sticks provided by Lucy Patootee). It looks like a cute fairy loom, doesn’t it?

I’m also experimenting with underglazes, I hope to achieve better results this time. I love working with these palettes.
