Drum Carder

Here it starts… I got myself a drum carder to create fiber batts which I will spin when I get a spinning wheel. This is my first batt. I forgot to buy a special brush, so I had to borrow my dogs’ one, the dogs’ hair is undoubtedly a nice addition. I really enjoyed the process, although it was just a trial. There’s some silk, merino, nylon, fake mohair and angelina. My first little cloud of wonders.

Grim and Very Serious Underdress

For the first time, I’m glad to see my loom empty. I’m really relieved to have finally finished the weaving of my Viking underdress, this was truly boring. Now, I hope there’s enough fabric. Mushrooms in their Psychedelic Pyjamas

Entirely wet felted. I used glue in some places and wires for the mushrooms. It’s also sewn along the shaft, which makes them look like they’re wearing pyjamas. Not a single poke from a felting needle – I was glad.

A Map of The Otherworld

I love printing textures! The only problem is that I’m not sure what to do with the printed slab afterwards. I’m not much into plates and I’m running out of space for hanging art on the walls.
