Moving to the Lofoten islands was the greatest present I ever made to myself and the Arctic landscapes are indeed a true treat for any artist’s eyes. Faerie Weaving

I’ve been weaving on my little loom to dress my latest goblin. The pink and red fabric is in two pieces because half-way, I had broken a few threads in the warp so I had to cut and re-tie them. This happens only when you behave quite unreasonably when choosing the yarn for the warp and opt for fragile yarns while hoping for the best. That will teach me (perhaps).

I adore these colors! I love my “Faerie” weaving!

Baby Loom

It looks like a toy and actually feels like one because it’s so small and light but it does the job. It’s only 25 cm wide but I needed it for my experimental weaving. It’s perfect for making miniature clothes for my goblins. It took me only a couple of hours to weave my first piece. This grey and primitive fabric will dress a goblin who likes to spend some time alone and who tends to be very contemplative.

Purple Cawl, Grey Underdress and Orange Apron Dress

This costume is going to take me a long while. I spend in average 10 days on each length and I need 5 more lengths. And then after, I want to make a cloak, and a collection of hanging aprons, one for every mood, but there’s no hurry. I love grey and orange together, they remind me of the Phoenix rising from its ashes.

Yarn Porn

The most beautiful yarns I have in my home are a precious gift from my friend, Libellune . She spun all these gorgeous yarns herself and I am so in awe that I want to use them for something very special, I must give it some serious thought so that I’m not wasting any. It won’t be used for a dog blanket, I can assure you.
