Welcome

Welcome to my Inner World. I am a French self-taught artist, and these past seventeen years I have made Norway my home. Moving to the Lofoten islands was the greatest present I ever made to myself and the Arctic landscapes are indeed a true treat for any artist’s eyes. I live with my British soulmate,… Continue Reading

Marble Yarn

Marble yarns really are my favourite. A work in progress on my loom:

I’m in love with my hand-woven fabrics. The more I weave, the less I feel like wearing anything else. My only problem is… my tailoring skills. I messed up two wonderful fabrics, it was a disaster and I’m now very reluctant to cut into these little treasures. But I’m working on it. I bought myself the cheapest fabric I could find so I could train without too much damage. I’ve always loved beautiful clothes, it’s like wearing the stuff of fairy tales…

I’m really glad I took to weaving. There are infinite possibilities and so many beautiful yarns out there.

A Scarf

Finished a scarf for my Mum. I used only alpaca and wool with a hint of silk and mohair here and there, and metallic threads to add some sparkles. It is definitely very warm and soft. The photos are terrible as usual but no more daylight, we have now entered the Polar Night.

A Treasure of a hand-woven fabric

I could wrap my Christmas tree in it but instead I’ll make a pullover or a pointy hat. The colors, the textures, everything is gorgeous. It’s also quite thick and warm and yet supple.

Weaving for the Little People

These days, I weave with a smile on my face, I adore the colors I’m working with. Unfortunately, it’s all acrylic, but once in a while, it’s ok. I will use this for a hat (a pointy hat, of course). I have lots of yarns I use as accents: ribbons, eyelash, glitter and fluff, a palette from Fairyland. This is fun.

It glitters a lot more than the photograph suggests.
