Sun Hat!

It’s been one of these very rare warm days on Lofoten, the kind of weather that allows you to wear a sun hat without looking ridiculous. This happens in average 15 days a year. So far we had 5 days like today this year. Hopefully, we’ll get the ten days we have due before snow comes.

In the Woods

Stand Still

Lost

Stand still. The trees ahead and bushes beside you
Are not lost. Wherever you are is called Here,
And you must treat it as a powerful stranger,
Must ask permission to know it and be known.
The forest breathes. Listen. It answers,
I have made this place around you,
If you leave it you may come back again, saying Here.
No two trees are the same to Raven.
No two branches are the same to Wren.
If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you,
You are surely lost. Stand still. The forest knows
Where you are. You must let it find you.

A few photos taken today from Stamsund to Storfjord. The great news is that dogs are now allowed in the bus, under the condition that none of the passengers is allergic to dogs, so I’m now free to travel with Loki to some places I haven’t visited for a long while. Looking forward to going on some new adventures with my dear companion.
