The Traveller

Misty mountains bring to my imagination poetry, pilgrimage and a hot cup of tea. I have a very deep interest in Taoism. This is my favorite “spiritual” religion as opposed to paganism which has more to do with Soul than Spirit, in one word: animism. In the mist, I am lost. And found again.  Mist brings me serenity and detachment. Bliss… Wherever I am, the world comes after me. It offers me its busyness. It does not believe that I do not want it. Now I understand why the old poets of China went so far and high into the mountains, then crept into the pale mist. Mary Oliver [peekaboo_link name=”bar”]Traduction

The Sun

She’s a Chinese shaman. I love antlered gods such as Cernunnos, their connection to the animal kingdom, not to mention that antlers act as antennas, channeling energies and insights. This painting represents an ultimate moment of bliss, grace and awe. [peekaboo_link name=”bar”]Traduction ici [/peekaboo_link] [peekaboo_content name=”bar”] Une chamanesse chinoise. [/peekaboo_content]

Spirilium

I’m not exactly sure how it works ;-). I just know it plays music. Quite wonderful music at that. But first you have to leave an offering in the tin cups. For the bird of course. [/peekaboo_content]

Moon God

One of my earliest paintings. I’m not so comfortable with central figures, I like the background to be as important as the foreground. My paintings overall are kind of “democratic”. No one rules, only the multitude, and it suits my polytheist inclinations.  The star’s really my dearest symbol. The shining, the gentle or fierce twinkling, each star has its own personality. I love this congregation of unique personalities above our heads. Why we humans should be all the same puzzles me.
