I’m a bit disappointed with the underglazes. I think I like them only when they’re not covered with a transparent glaze. But I love my Opalescent glazes, madly. I’m just eager to create more pieces until I can use glazes and underglazes in the combination that feels right to me.

As I was finishing my felted lamp this morning, I got completely carried away and forgot I had to go to work! Fortunately, there is still time to post these two (bad) pictures and pack some lunch before I leave. I also wanted to proudly announce: I got my driving license!
This Norwegian wool is fantastic! I’ll never go back to Merino!
Merino wool is really beautiful but so slow to needle felt, so I wanted to give famous Norwegian wool a try. It’s supposed to be very good for sculptural felting. I did a bit of dyeing yesterday and now I’m really eager to see if it lives up to its reputation.
As you can see, Lucy supervises everything That’s the only way I’m allowed to work.
I’m quite excited about a new lantern I’m working on. There’ll be glass beads hanging and stars hovering (attached to the tree with wires). And birds of course!
