Welcome to my Inner World

I am a French self-taught artist, and these past twenty years I have made Norway my home. Moving to the Lofoten islands was the greatest present I ever made to myself and the Arctic landscapes are indeed a true treat for any artist’s eyes. I live with my British soulmate, my sweet Papillon girls, Lucy and Pixie and the spirit of my border collie, Loki. My creativity is a tribute to the eyes that blink in the heart of every smallest thing, the flowing dreams whose pulse tries to reach to us in our most meditative state.

Silence

I really loved playing in an unusual way with composition here. This creates a dreamlike atmosphere. Something is happening here but I’m not allowed to speak about it. It would spoil it all. Shhhh… [peekaboo_link name=”bar”]Traduction ici [/peekaboo_link] [peekaboo_content name=”bar”] J’ai adoré jouer d’une manière inhabituelle avec la composition ici. Çela contribue à créer une atmosphère onirique. Quelque chose

The Drunken Boat

The title is borrowed from Arthur Rimbaud but the painting’s loosely inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean (amongst many other sources). These musicians are pretty daring but they’re filled with grace, trust and passion and above all they do enjoy a tough ride from time to time, so the Sea is pleased and smiles at them. The Sea takes care

Midnight

I really like the cosy atmosphere of wintertime, when snow’s falling outside and the hour gets late. It’s the perfect time for reading or writing. By the warm glowing light of the lamp, a timeless atmosphere settles, you drift through the gate of dreams, unnoticed, while still wide awake. Here is another steampunk device which comes without a manual. This

The Cauldron

This painting represents for me the overwhelming experience of being in love, the sweet longing and the aching ecstasy. This witch knows exactly how to make a love potion (for herself of course) and how to maintain the right heat. A track I listened to in a loop while painting this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1e9MrkN2XE [peekaboo_link name=”bar”]Traduction ici [/peekaboo_link] [peekaboo_content name=”bar”] Cette

The little bits of my paintings I love the most:

A Totally Random Post Popping Out Of Nowhere:

  • A Teal and Warm Gold Feast for the Eye
Today, I finished assembling my latest woven fabric. It's made of mostly spun yarns and it is really gorgeous. One of my best, truly. When I wear it, it is very distracting, I can't stop looking at all the details, it's mesmerizing. I haven't gone back to digital painting yet, although I miss it a lot, there's this deep craving in my soul. I'm considering acquiring a graphic tablet which works as a monitor, you can paint directly on the screen itself. It sounds really great. All my paintings are gone because of this ransomware virus and I need a new start. Meanwhile, I've worked a bit on Pixie's portrait with my water soluble oil paints and I showed it to her today. She looked at it... and growled. Which is very flattering! The walks today: And a little video ( I love horsetails!): https://vimeo.com/341848448
