Here is my first painted cut-out. I had tremendous fun. I love painting on wood and I love oil colors, more than acrylics (which I used a lot before turning to digital painting). I rediscovered the pleasure of mixing my colors on the palette and the soft touch of the paintbrush. I haven’t decided what to do with it yet. My home doesn’t have enough space to store my own art. Maybe, I’ll keep producing and try selling on a Christmas market. or something similar. I have so many ideas… this is going to be fun.
Meet Pixie, an 8 weeks old Papillon girl, who’s actually Lucy’s niece. She is as sweet as her aunt and the two of them immediately loved each other. They’ve been playing together for hours, even on my bed… at 5 in the morning. Lucy is overjoyed and so are we. She now spends her time watching Pixie with a constant look of adoration but we have to watch out that she also leaves a bit of personal space to Pixie. Pixie is very, very fluffy, which earned her an instant nickname: Floof. Lucy’s nickname is Poots (because she looked like a cute potato). Poots and Floof :-).
