But at the same time with an invitation to possible adventure, represented here by the bridge disappearing into the forest on the right and the stairs on the left. Women, everywhere, are known to have a special relationship with foxes. In Japan and also China, some foxes are shapeshifters, they appear as beautiful bewitching women. It is also known in Germanic folklore that witches can take the form of a fox. The fox is considered a very cunning animal all over the world, and in many countries he is a Trickster figure. Every woman who was wronged by being raised in a dominantly patriarchal society can hear the call of the Trickster. He is shadowy, mysterious, playful and sensual. Tricksters love women. I had a strange dream when I was a child, I “woke up” to see a fox at the foot of my bed, he was talking to me and was so funny because he had trouble pronouncing words, which made him look like a lunatic. He also danced for me, it was entrancing and beautiful. I consider the fox as one of my most potent guardians, along with the mouse and the tiger. It’s no wonder that I ended up choosing as a four legged companion one of the foxiest of all the dogs, the border collie. This painting is an homage to one of the most dedicated servants of the Soul.

J’adore les renards, je suis aussi très attirée par la Chine et le Japon. Et les bateaux. Je crois que c’est la peinture que j’ai eu en fond d’ecran le plus longtemps parce qu’elle me procure un sentiment de confort. Mais avec en même temps une invitation à l’aventure, suggérée ici par le pont disparaissant dans la forêt à gauche et les marches à droite. Les femmes, partout dans le monde, sont connues pour leur connexion speciale avec le renard. Au Japon et en Chine, certains renards peuvent changer de forme et se transformer en d’ensorcelantes jolies femmes. Il est aussi connu dans le folklore germanique que les sorcieres peuvent se changer en renard. Le renard est partout considéré comme etant rusé et dans bon nombre de pays comme un Trickster (frippon, rebelle). Toutes les femmes qui ont souffert d’une éducation à dominante patriarcale peuvent entendre l’appel du Trickster. Celui-ci le plus souvent est ombrageux, mysterieux, enjoué et sensuel. Les Tricksters adorent les femmes.
J’ai fait un rêve étrange étant enfant, je me suis “réveillée” pour voir un renard au pied de mon lit, il me parlait et était très drôle car il avait beaucoup de mal à prononcer les mots, ce qui le faisait paraître lunatique. Il dansa aussi pour moi, c’était un spectacle très beau et fascinant. Je considère le renard comme étant l’un de mes gardiens les plus puissants, avec le tigre et la souris. Ce n’est pas surprenant que j’aie choisi comme compagnon à quatre pattes l’un des chiens qui évoquent le plus le renard dans son apparence et expression corporelle: le border collie. Cette peinture est un hommage à l’un des plus dévoués serviteurs de l’Âme.
