Welcome to my Inner World. I am a French self-taught artist, and these past twenty years I have made Norway my home. Leaves are falling fast. Too fast. Autumn is so ephemeral but still, it’s my favourite season. The sense of cosiness is for me at its maximum in this beautiful time of the year. The lights and the colours are intensely magical. And the earthly smells all around… I feel totally enthralled.
Time for some “Hygge” (Danish art of living, these people know about how to craft the ultimate cosiness) with weaving and pumpkin soup:
I really suck at taking decent pictures of my artwork, I am truly terrible at this. I will try again when it’s hanging on the wall. This is a Soul Portrait of Lucy. I will make one for Pixie too, when she’ll be a bit older. There are 8 layers of cutouts and it’s painted with Cobra oils. I think it’s realistic enough because my dogs started barking at it. Silly girls ;-).
And a little video:
This is 2 meters long. I think I’ll incorporate some bits here and there in some clothes, depending on my inspiration. I could make coats for my girls with it, pockets, hats. I won’t be doing stripes before a while. On my loom is a single color warp to weave with fur yarn. I can’t stand to see this loom naked, there must be something on it at all times, even if I sometimes end up weaving ten minutes a day. My loom is now on a stand, I can weave a few rows now and then, while the food is cooking or just before going to work. I love it.
