This is my own vision of the Seelie and the Unseelie Courts. I couldn’t say, though, which side is Seelie or Unseelie because they both in their own way carry something of the trickster, but in a different fashion. This is perhaps my favourite painting so far, I love these characters, each of them means a lot to me. There are two different tribes and here I am in the middle, enraptured. I pictured two musical instruments, the flute for its playfulness and the violin for its passion. These tell a lot about the nature of each of the tribes. I’m wearing red, which is the color of sacrifice, but here I am the offering. I serve both sides.

C’est mon interprétation personnelle des cours féeriques Seelie et Unseelie. Je ne pourrais dire quel coté est Seelie ou Unseelie parce que ces deux clans dans ma peinture peuvent participer du Trickster (fripon, empêcheur de tourner en rond, challengeur) , mais d’une manière différente. C’est peut-être ma peinture préférée jusqu’à ce jour, j’adore ces personnages, chacun d’eux est très spécial pour moi. Deux tribus et moi au milieu, captivée. J’ai représenté deux instruments de musique, la flûte pour son caractère enjoué et le violon pour sa passion. Ces instruments révèlent beaucoup sur la nature de chaque tribu. Je porte le rouge, qui est la couleur du sacrifice, mais ici, je suis l’offrande. Je sers les deux cotés.
