I love thunderstorms by the sea at summertime. I have so many great memories of windows wide opened, the garden shivering with expectation, the first drops of rain and the savour of green tea freshly brewed.
And every time, I would play this magical track by Talk Talk, After the Flood.
I had fun making little presents, and more stationeries. I wove the little pouch, I love weaving but I rarely find enough time. I found the courage to give my knitting machine another try. It was a very steep learning curve but after three weeks of battling, I’m finally enjoying it. There is no way I’m going to follow a pattern, I tried several and they drive me up the wall. I tried to design my own , based on the gauge, it didn’t work out, so I’m cutting into the knitting fabric and blocking the edges with an elastic stitch on my sewing machine. I have no shame!
I made a snood and I’m working on a sleeveless sweater. It does take quite a while since I’m using the Intarsia technique, to incorporate simple patterns of different colours.

looks like the most perfect day Dear Kundry. of course i was agog at all the green! Loved watching you putting the finishing touches to the beautiful stormy sea painting – the whale is beautiful. the knitting machine looks hard going but i am sure you will manage it and i can’t imagine you ever needing something so structured as a pattern – what you come up with will be so much better. love to you Dear Kundry, Jo xxx
Thank you, dear Jo! Exactly! I want my sweaters to be like … an Odyssey! These are Goblin sweaters!Perhaps, I will incorporate embroidery, sequins and feathers. I am very inspired. Love to you too, dear Jo.
Bonjour Kundry,
Bises,
Isabelle
