My Digital Art

A Spinning Wheel

A spinning wheel is on its way. It’s a modern one, not the fairy tale kind, but it’s really good to make art yarns (fantasy yarn) and what attracted me was also the possibility to paint it. My Goddess

Can you feel the devotional love I put into this pestle and mortar? This is part of my current project: a figurine of Baba Yaga. This clay will be fired and glazed of course, while the figurine will be felted and dressed with hand-woven fabrics. Can you imagine… weaving for Baba Yaga!

Experiment with Felt

Another try with a bigger texture this time. I prefer the first one. But now, I know more or less what kind of texture would work best for embossing felt.

Experiment with Felt

I tried to wet felt (without soap so, no rinsing) over one of my ceramic textured plate and the result, although very subtle is interesting. I’ll make another textured plate with deeper indentations for next time.
