I am a French self-taught artist, and these past twenty years I have made Norway my home. Moving to the Lofoten islands was the greatest present I ever made to myself and the Arctic landscapes are indeed a true treat for any artist’s eyes. I live with my British soulmate, my sweet Papillon girls, Lucy and Pixie and the spirit of my border collie, Loki. My creativity is a tribute to the eyes that blink in the heart of every smallest thing, the flowing dreams whose pulse tries to reach to us in our most meditative state.
I wove a fabric for a snood with my hand-spun yarns. The inside of the snood will have the “chenille” fabric on the left (mix of commercial and hand-spun yarns). I used what felt like a huge amount of my hand-spun yarns and in the end, it was just enough for a snood. I’m glad I also dyed the warp,
I’ve just started weaving with my hand-spun yarns and I don’t think I can ever go back to weaving with commercial yarns. It’s like weaving with Moon, Sun and Stars, which reminds me of the Oracle card I’m working on at the moment (Donkey Skin). Every row, I’m like “oh… wow”, totally ravished. I’m glad I also dyed the warp
